Over Christmas, will listening to a Tim Ferris interview of Derek Sivers, Derek spoke about creating his “now” page and created a website devoted to this idea. I often get asked “What are you doing now?” in my personal life and decided to copy this idea and will keep this page updated to answer this question.
Work- I’m currently working for AECOM as a Lead Health and Safety Advisor on a project in Northern Alberta.
Education- Just beginning studying for the CRSP exam that I will hopefully write by the halfway point of 2016
Physical- I’m currently training for two triathlon races for 2016. The first the Coronation Triathlon a standard distance 1km swim, 26km bike and 8km run in Edmonton. The following, The Great White North Triathlon, a gruelling Half Ironman distance in Stoney Plain of 2km swim, 90km bike and 21.1km run. I’m continuing on a very strict training and diet plan for the next 6 months.
Reading- I’ve currently begun reading Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink and Lief Babin, two decorated Navy Seals who have started a leadership company. The title is pretty self explanatory. Take ownership of all aspects of your life and earn what you want out of life.
Project- I’ve taking on a huge task of finishing my basement. This will include a common/home bar area with an industrial theme, washroom, home gym and a room for my dog Dexter. I plan to do most of the work myself to keep a personal touch so this should be a long ongoing project. I will be posting updates of the project on this website.
